Coronavirus Vaccinations

The Practice is working through our patient population in the order of priority set by the Government.

We are being allocated small quantities of the AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine at a time, with gaps in between.

We will contact patients individually to invite them to a vaccination session. We would strongly encourage patients to take up the offer of vaccination.

When attending for vaccination patients will be greeted at the Practice doors adjacent to the patient car park and will proceed in a one-way system to get vaccinated then will leave from the emergency exit at the top of the clinical corridor. This leads straight back to the car park.

If you have driven yourself to your appointment you should wait in your car for fifteen minutes before you drive off. Those who have not driven will not need to wait.

These sessions will coordinate large numbers of patients in a quick turnaround so that only a few patients are in the building at one time. Please respect this by not requesting anything else from the doctor e.g. other medical advice or prescriptions. Please also wear clothing which will allow easy access to upper arm (deltoid muscle) area.

The Practice will try to contact patients on more than one occasion in the event that the Practice has been unable to reach a patient on the first attempt.
