Accessing the Practice

Please do not attend the Practice without first phoning us. Please be prepared to receive a phone call back from a Health Care Professional in order to establish how best we can help you.

The way the you can access the Practice services continues to be different. We are triaging every potential contact with our Health Care Professionals without exception.

Please only contact the Practice if you consider you, or your relative, to be very unwell or have serious symptoms which cannot be managed without advice or assessment. The prime reason for assessing any patients with respiratory symptoms will only be to decide whether they need hospital admission.

We utilise (and also help with) the Inverclyde Community Assessment Centre for potential and confirmed COVID-19 patients. Thus, you may be referred to this for assessment.

Testing for COVID-19 is NOT being undertaken by the Practice for any patients.

Please do NOT contact the Practice for self-isolation FitNotes. The UK Government has asked all employers to be reasonable in accepting absence evidence. Please direct your employer to the Government’s website regarding this. We want to continue clinically assessing patients rather than being overwhelmed with administrative duties.

All online booking has currently been suspended.

Please call 01475 558300 between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Please phone NHS24 on 111 if you require an urgent consultation beyond these hours.
